Description

Ashe Lake Recreation Area was originally built to provide water for Ashe Nursery.  The 8-acre lake is shallow with the deepest area about 15 feet.  Visitors may enjoy fishing for bass, bream, and catfish.

For Frisbee enthusiasts, there is an 18-hole PDGA-approved Frisbee Disk Golf course at this recreation area.  There is also a nine-hole ADA plus one-hole game of nine on site.

Ashe Lake is a day-use only area and no camping is permitted.  The recreation area is open year-round, unless weather conditions require closing the site.

Directions

Take Highway 49 to Ashe Nursery Orchard sign; turn East onto Yeaton Spur Roadk turn left (North) at stop sign onto Old Highway 49; take next right onto New York Road; at stop sign turn right (South) onto Ashe Nursery  Road; Ashe Lake is on the right.
