Stockton Island Visitor Center is open seasonally during the summer months. The building is open during the day, and rangers are on site or around the greater Presque Isle area. Rangers are available to answer questions or assist in emergencies. General information and small exhibits are available inside. This area provides trail access to the Tombolo, Julian Bay, and Anderson Bay Trails. The Presque Isle camping area and marina provide 17 campsites and overnight docking locations.

Stockton Island is only accessible by water. It is located 16 miles from Bayfield on Lake Superior.
